Engage with your network as a dynamic Mortgage Development Officer, where your primary mission is to forge and nurture meaningful relationships with key referral partners. By collaborating closely with homebuyers, homeowners, realtors, builders, and financial planners, you’ll not only boost mortgage volume and drive business growth for the Mortgage Lending Department but also enhance the overall experience for our valued members. As you expand your robust client referral base, you’ll champion our credit union’s products and services, positioning them as the go-to solutions in the marketplace. Leverage your networking prowess to originate conventional mortgage loans through proactive and strategic prospecting, ultimately leading to increased closed loan units and volumes. Connect, collaborate, and create success stories in a high-energy environment!
- By prospecting and cultivating strong relationships, you’ll become a trusted source of referrals and leads beyond the traditional credit union channels. Dive into active participation in industry-related professional organizations, networking groups, and homeownership agencies to expand your impact. Take advantage of mortgage educational opportunities and events, keeping your finger on the pulse of current trends and market factors that shape the mortgage lending landscape. Market the credit union’s mortgage lending program to key players in the real estate community, ensuring they see the advantages we offer. Lead by example with high-quality work, consistently meeting department sales expectations and delivering an exceptional experience that others aspire to emulate.
- Originates prospective mortgage loans with borrowers by assisting them in determining the proper loan program, explaining to borrowers the different types of loans that are available, completing the loan application, and gathering the necessary paperwork to begin the loan process. Analyzes applicant’s financial feasibility of qualifying for the mortgage program, as well as the terms of those services. Follow the loan to closing while communicating with the borrower along the way. Work closely with borrowers and underwriters to find solutions to challenges that may threaten the completion of the loan. Maintains full working knowledge of all mortgage programs, policies, and compliance and keeps up to date on current trends influencing mortgage lending.
- Facilitates and fosters interdepartmental relationships across the credit union, especially with the mortgage production team including the Mortgage Loan Administrator and Loan Processor to support the member experience for the duration of the loan, while allowing for time to prospect new business.
