Maine State CU is hiring a Consumer Lender I at its Farmingdale location.
Description:
The Consumer Lender I builds relationships with Members and engages them via multiple channels. The CLI receives consistent monitoring and guidance on daily tasks as they review, analyze, process, and close incoming credit applications for most consumer loan types. The CLI collaborates with and supports Financial Service Representatives by underwriting loan applications within the current level of lending authority and established loan policy. This individual actively seeks opportunities to strengthen member relationships with the credit union. Supervisors will provide regular feedback and coaching to develop basic skills and knowledge with an emphasis on training and orientation to become more familiar with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, team-oriented, positive thinker with a desire to provide exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. You should have a minimum of three to five years of similar or related work experience and practical knowledge and understanding of consumer lending regulations, practices, and related requirements. Also required are strong interpersonal skills, a professional appearance, a solid work ethic, reliable attendance, an ability to be detail-oriented, and the ability to utilize a computer and related online applications and lending software. A high school diploma or GED is required.
