Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Loan Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lending, excellent member service skills, and a deep understanding of the credit union difference. This role involves taking and evaluating loan applications, making lending decisions, and providing financial advice to our members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and process loan applications, including personal, auto, mortgage, and HELOCs.
  • Make lending decisions within established guidelines and policies.
  • Provide financial advice to members.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with members, ensuring their financial needs are met.
  • Monitor loan performance and manage delinquent accounts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve credit union goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a loan officer, preferably in a credit union or community bank.
  • Strong knowledge of lending practices and credit analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
