The Hannaford June Fight Hunger Bag Program Results Are In

Hannaford Supermarkets has long been a supporter of hunger relief efforts—including Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger. Regularly and at random, the Campaign is selected by Hannaford to be the recipient of their Fight Hunger Bag Program proceeds at various locations throughout different months of the year. This past June, Fight Hunger bag purchases at both the Fort Kent (62 West Main Street) and Westbrook (7 Hannaford Drive) locations benefitted the Campaign. 

With Hannaford’s Fight Hunger Bag Program, $1 from each purchase of their specific $2.50 Fight Hunger reusable shopping bag is sent to a charity. For the month of June, a total of $589 was raised for the Campaign! 

Hannaford is committed to uplifting their communities in impactful ways. Since the Program’s inception, it has helped 6,195 nonprofit organizations and donated $3,209,014 to their local communities. The League is grateful to continually see Hannaford extend their generosity to the Campaign through this effort!
