We are already dreaming about it: the crisp morning air; the wind sweeping through soft blades of grass across the greens; and golfers gathered with industry peers preparing for a day of charitable fun to help end hunger in our great state.
The League’s Annual Ending Hunger Convention Golf Tournament is just around the corner, and team slots are filling up quickly! With just over half of the foursomes already filled, you’ll want to act quickly to secure your team’s spot in this year’s tournament—taking place at a brand-new location, just miles from Convention!
On Thursday, May 16, golfers will tee off promptly at 9:00 am with a shotgun start at Purpoodock Club, a private golf course located in beautiful Cape Elizabeth. This tournament will follow a best ball format.
Registration Details
The price to enter is $225 per person or $800 to enter four players.

Payments for golf can be processed through the website using a credit card. You may also pay by check or through your credit union’s Tricorp account. Please see the directions for guidance on paying via a check or Tricorp.
Credit unions and vendors are asked to limit their registration to one foursome only, unless they sponsor at the Course Champion level (this special sponsorship comes with two teams of four). A waitlist will be created for those interested in entering two teams.
While play begins at 9:00 am, players are encouraged to arrive early to ensure the event begins on time. A light breakfast will be offered beginning at 7:30 am. Cocktails and appetizers will be offered at the conclusion of the tournament and prizes will be announced.
Sponsorships
Sponsorship opportunities are structured in a brand-new way this year, allowing more flexibility! Now, all golf tickets are purchased separately, unless you sign up to be a Course Champion Sponsor.
Sponsorships are simply that—sponsorship of the event! Sponsorship opportunities are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Click on the “Become a Sponsor” tab in the left-hand navigation on the tournament website to view all available options.
Please feel free to share our website with your vendors and other area businesses that might be interested in lending their support. Sponsorship opportunities will close on April 5.
If you wish to add golf to your purchase, navigate to the top right of your screen where it says “Get Tickets” and choose either a foursome or single golf player ticket option. Be sure to complete your ticket options for each golfer, noting any food allergies/limitations, to ensure they experience a smooth, seamless day of play!
Silent Auction
Get your thinking caps on! What can your credit union donate to this year’s Ending Hunger Silent Auction? All auction items will be available for bidding online beginning May 1 and will be on display at the League’s Convention on May 17. Be on the lookout for an email soon with a form for you to submit a donation to this effort—a fundraiser that more than doubled its income last year from what was raised in 2022! Help us break another auction record and support hunger relief organizations across Maine.
