November kicks off the season of giving, and Hannaford Supermarkets continue to support Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger through its Fight Hunger Bag program. As a reminder, Hannaford is donating $1 to the Campaign for each $2.50 reusable Fight Hunger Bag purchased at its Brewer store this month. Hannaford’s Fight Hunger Bag and Bloomin’ for Good bouquet programs have raised $1,497 for the Campaign this year—$206 last month alone!
If your credit union has a branch near the Wilson Street store, please consider encouraging your staff, volunteers, and members to take part in this unique fundraiser. All funds raised through the program will be directed to the Campaign’s general account.
Hannaford has kindly created a variety of promotional materials credit unions can use to raise awareness about this fundraiser, including:
- Sample messages to share with staff/volunteers/members (this messaging can also be used to develop social media posts)
- Social media graphic for Facebook/LinkedIn
- Social media graphic for Twitter
- Printable flyer for display at your branch (prints on a standard 8.5” X 11” piece of paper)
