League Convention Provides Unique Opportunity to Support CULAC

Are you looking for another great reason to attend the League’s Annual Convention on August 19? Besides the networking opportunities, fabulous speakers, and vendor exhibits, this year’s event also provides attendees an opportunity to support the League’s Credit Union Legislative Action Council (CULAC).

CULAC supports credit union-friendly candidates running for elected office in Augusta. It is bipartisan and supports nearly an equal amount of Democrats and Republicans.

As they have done before, the League’s Governmental Affairs team will be on-site during Convention to host their silent auction and raffle to benefit CULAC. Items up for bidding will include gift cards, noise canceling headphones, and much more.

To grow the credit union movement in Maine, the League must continue helping candidates that advocate on our behalf. The League routinely asks legislators to support credit union policies or oppose legislation that could harm our ability to serve members. That’s why supporting CULAC is critical.
