Young Professionals (YPs) from across the state gathered virtually on October 28 to network and hear from League President/CEO Todd Mason. The event was designed to give YPs an opportunity to connect with Mason and their colleagues. It also was an opportunity for Mason to get to know the YPs.
Following an introductory discussion that involved each attendee, Mason shared his story about his 25+ year career in the credit union industry. He then fielded questions from the participants and provided his thoughts on advancing one’s career, maintaining a work-life balance, and more.
“You need to invest in yourself,” said Mason. “You have to make the time to learn and try new things, and you need take chances.”
Mason wrapped up the event by sharing a list of his favorite books, research resources, and publications that YPs may find helpful as they continue their credit union careers.
