Weekly Update Gets Fresh New Look for 2021

You may notice Weekly Update looks a little different this week. That’s because we have given it a fresh new look for the new year. In this week’s edition (and in future newsletters), you will still find the same great news content you are used to, but in an easier to read format.

“The facelift we have given Weekly Update has been in the works for several weeks,” said Weekly Update Editor Jen Burke. “I think our credit unions will enjoy the new layout and features, which make it much easier for readers to sort stories. I am thrilled to be rolling this new version out at the start of the new year.”

Readers will notice the new Weekly Update includes a special section dedicated to compliance, providing an overview of topics outlined in InfoSight’s e-newsletter. Updated weekly, InfoSight summarizes timely compliance news and regulatory rules credit unions should know.

Job openings and League events will continue to be featured in each edition of Weekly Update, but to better streamline the content, only new jobs and events will be published. A complete listing of credit union jobs and League events always will listed on the League’s website.

Credit unions should continue sharing their own news content for potential feature in Weekly Update. Press releases can be emailed to jburke@mainecul.org for consideration.

“Showcasing how credit unions are carrying out the People Helping People philosophy in their communities are my favorite types of stories to highlight,” said Burke. “Hiring announcements, financial education stories, charitable donations, and Ending Hunger efforts all are topics that lead to noteworthy articles.”
