Volunteer to Help Our Friends at Good Shepherd Food Bank

News Center Maine’s annual Feed Maine telethon to benefit the Good Shepherd Food Bank is rapidly approaching. This year’s event is taking place on May 6 from 5 am–8 pm. Volunteers are needed to work remotely and answer the phone lines. Calls can be taken from either a cellphone or landline. If you have a couple hours to spare, consider signing up for one or more shifts.

To secure your spot as a volunteer, please utilize Good Shepherd Food Bank’s online Galaxy platform. Shifts are divided into two to three hour increments.  Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and should sign up by May 3 at noon.

All volunteers will be provided information to attend one of three virtual training sessions offered on Zoom on May 5.

The 2020 Feed Maine telethon received 4,851 donations and raised $700,300 for Good Shepherd Food Bank.
