Updated Ending Hunger Pantry Request Form Helps Credit Unions Give Back

After last week’s Results Luncheon celebrating our remarkable collective success in fundraising for Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger, our League and the Social Responsibility Committee settled on a new goal for 2026: raise $1.5 million to help feed Mainers in need. We look forward to seeing the creative and engaging ways credit unions across Maine rise to this challenge.

While planning your disbursements and fundraisers this year, please remember that you may request funds at any time for distribution in your community. To request funds from your credit union’s Ending Hunger account, please utilize the newly updated Ending Hunger Funds Request Form on the League’s website. Before submitting your request, please confirm that the pantry(ies) you wish to support are listed on pages 2–15, as these organizations already have the required contact and tax documentation on file. Please also verify that the pantry address matches what we have listed. If it does not, a new W-9 must be submitted to the League before a check can be issued. Also, when completing the form, please be sure to fill in the address where you would like the check to be mailed in the “Credit Union Mailing Address” field.

If you wish to support a pantry that is not on our list, please confirm its 501(c)(3) status, provide an email address and/or phone number for the organization, and submit a completed W-9 form with your request. Checks will not be issued until the appropriate tax documentation has been received. A blank W-9 form and the Ending Hunger Contact Information Form are also available on the League website.

Check requests should be submitted to endinghunger@mainecul.org for disbursement. If you have any questions about the Campaign, please contact Jen Burke and Lauren Simonds.
