Jess Francis of University CU is stepping onto the national stage for a cause that’s close to the credit union movement’s heart. Francis has been selected for CU4Kids’ emerging leaders program, the CU4Kids Crew, which brings together rising professionals from across the country who are passionate about supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Francis, University CU’s HR & Executive Administrative Manager, will represent Maine as part of the program and participate in Elevate, the Children’s Miracle Network’s annual conference—formerly known as Children’s Hospitals Week—where partners and hospitals come together to celebrate the collective impact they make for kids and families.
“We are thrilled for Jess with her selection as a CU4Kids emerging leader,” said Renee Ouellette, UCU’s President/CEO. “With her experience in supporting Children’s Miracle Network with the Bangor Chapter and her passion for volunteering, she is sure to bring impactful ideas and contributions to the Elevate Conference.”

These emerging leaders will help redefine the future of children’s healthcare and ensure all kids have the chance to grow up strong and thrive.
Supported by Acumen Financial Advantage, the 2026 CU4Kids Crew will attend Elevate alongside credit union and industry leaders and connect with a national cohort of emerging professionals. Participants will also learn more about how CU4Kids and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals drive impact across their hospital network while growing as ambassadors for the credit union movement and children’s health.
