Thanks to Trademark Federal Credit Union (FCU), Slugger, the Portland Sea Dogs’ beloved mascot, was wearing a new uniform last Friday night. On June 21, the Portland Sea Dogs became the Maine Whoopie Pies at a special game sponsored by the credit union.
At the event, players wore special Whoopie Pies jerseys and Sweetie Pie the Whoopie Pie served as the game’s official team cheerleader. Merchandise commemorating the evening also was available for purchase for fans.
Trademark’s President/CEO Joann Bisson entered the Whoopie Pie eating contest and finished a whopping 5 whoopies in 5 minutes! (Way to go, Joann!) Also joining in the festivities was Business Development Officer Melissa Goode, who threw out the first pitch.
As a sponsor of the historic game, Trademark FCU had the opportunity to share the experience with their employees and members. While the Sea Dogs rolled out their new mascot (for the night), Trademark was also proud to unveil their new logo.
“It was so much fun to be a part of such an amazing night and have the opportunity to roll out our new look,” said Bisson. “We’re still the same credit union our members know and love. Friendly, safe, solidly dependable, and totally Trademark!”
