Credit unions had a great deal to celebrate this week. In addition to surpassing our $1 million fundraising goal for the Campaign for Ending Hunger last year, top credit union fundraisers were honored during the annual Ending Hunger luncheon.
The top seven credit unions in terms of dollars contributed to end hunger in Maine and per member contributions were recognized during the celebration. Atlantic FCU was announced as the top credit union fundraiser in 2022, contributing $138,047.64 to combat hunger in the state. Gardiner FCU had the highest per member contributions at $3.78 per member.
“I am deeply appreciative of the contributions made by all Maine credit unions last year, but it is especially meaningful to recognize the top fundraisers at our annual event,” shared Jen Burke, League AVP – Communications and Outreach. “This year’s top seven was very competitive, as our eighth and ninth place finishers in both categories were very close behind.”
