Uplift LA, a committee of the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce that supports young professionals, unveiled its 2020 40 Under 40 program honorees at a virtual ceremony last week. Three credit union employees, Dirigo FCU’s Melissa Sproul and Community CU’s Kirstyn Birbeck and Kayleigh Ogden, were among those recognized for their work to strengthen their communities.
“Our credit union was thrilled to learn about Melissa’s well-deserved recognition,” said Mark Samson, President and CEO at Dirigo FCU. “Melissa is an exceptional leader and a valuable asset to our credit union team and community. She cares deeply about ending hunger in Maine and has done an outstanding job helping this important initiative through her service on the League’s Social Responsibility Committee.”
Dirigo FCU’s Melissa Sproul was recognized in the program’s Volunteers category. Community CU’s Kirstyn Birbeck was recognized in the Emerging Leaders division and Kayleigh Ogden was recognized in the Local Heroes category.
“The leadership team at Community Credit Union is incredibly proud of both Kirstyn Birkbeck and Kayleigh Ogden for their commitment to serving our membership and the community as a whole,” said Jennifer Hogan, President/CEO of Community CU. “They are certainly rising professionals with strong leadership skills that will help our credit union continue to grow in the years to come.”
