Thousands Connect With Young & Free At Old Port Festival

The combination of nearly ideal summer-like weather and an awesome line-up of music added up to thousands of people attending the Old Port Festival last weekend connecting with Young & Free Maine.  Maine's credit unions were a partner of the Townsquare Media Stage at One City Center in Portland and, as part of the partnership, the winners and runners-up of the Sound-Off competition played on the stage and Young & Free Maine had prominent visibility at the event.

Mallory Lavoie, the Young & Free Maine Spokester, called the crowd that stopped by the Young & Free Maine tent "huge.  We had a great location, and the perfect weather brought out thousands of people.  The opportunity to promote and highlight Young & Free Maine to so many individuals who are in the target demographic of the program made our participation a perfect fit.  Our booth was hopping all day long, and Maine's credit unions received a lot of exposure."

Debra Trautman, VP of Corporate Marketing for your League, said that both bands were really enthusiastic about performing in front of thousands of people.  "The support from the radio stations before the festival really put next year's Sound-Off in a strong position to attract even more entries.  Our whole involvement in the Old Port Festival resulted in significant attention and visibility for Maine's credit unions as people from across Maine attended this year's Festival."
