The League, Synergent, and Twelve CUs Make 2020 Best Places to Work in Maine List

The Maine Credit Union League, Synergent, and twelve credit unions have been included on the 2020 Best Places to Work in Maine. The awards program was created in 2006 and is a project of the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management and Best Companies Group.

The Best Places to Work in Maine list recognizes companies that have established a consistently outstanding workplace environment. The program is part of a long-term initiative to encourage growth and excellence in businesses across Maine. The 2020 Best Places to Work in Maine list is comprised of 84 companies in three distinct size categories: small (15-49 U.S. employees), medium (50-249 U.S. employees), and large (250+ U.S. employees). The Maine Credit Union League and Synergent were recognized in the medium size category.

Earlier this summer, the Maine Credit Union League and Synergent entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Maine. The first part consisted of evaluating workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data, and used their expertise to determine the top companies and final rankings.
