On October 18, The County FCU broke ground on a new full-service branch at One Benjamin Street in Mars Hill.
“We’ve been looking for the opportunity to expand within our current field of membership and the Mars Hill community has the best opportunity on the Route 1/Route 1A corridor,” said Ryan Ellsworth, President and CEO for The County FCU. “Once we heard that a convenient location was going to be available, we knew it would be a great location for our new branch.”
Ground preparation and construction of the new 1,375 square foot branch begins immediately and concrete is being poured this week. The new branch is expected to open in early summer 2020.
“Currently we have over 1,000 members in Mars Hill and its bordering communities,” said Ellsworth. “We are looking forward to being an active member of the Mars Hill community and welcome the opportunities the new branch will present.”
