Summer Planning Helps Great Things 'Fall' Into Place For The Young Professionals Network

There has been no summer break for the Young Professionals Network (YPN), as the Advisory Group has been meeting and planning activities and events for the fall.  In October, the YPN will be hosting a first of its kind learning series for credit unions called the YP Institute, a brand new, innovative and interactive workshop exclusively for credit union professionals between the ages of 21 and 40.  As part of the build up to these sessions, the YPN is holding a design contest to create a logo for the workshops, with the winner receiving a $50 Visa Gift Card.

The design contest is going on right now and is an opportunity for YP staff to have fun, be creative, and do something a little different. We challenge YP members to create a design that will be featured on the YP Institute t-shirts in October. The deadline to submit a design is Thursday, September 10. Whether it's a pencil sketch, photographs or art from a drawing app, we want to hear from YP Members. The winner will receive a $50 Visa gift card! Read the complete contest rules here.

While the design contest is a fun way to get engaged, the YP Institute is the primary focus.  Your League's Director of Education, Jane Thomas, will facilitate the workshop and delve into hot topics for young professionals including professional image, networking, and leadership. The CEO Chat will be the highlight of the workshop and allow attendees to have an open dialogue with credit union CEOs.

The YP Institute will be offered this October in three locations across the state: Westbrook, Augusta, and Fort Kent.
