During a Conference Call on Tuesday, April 14, your League's Statewide Awareness Committee received an update on the many positive elements that are happening or being planned for the Spring and Summer to promote Maine's credit unions.
"We have a comprehensive awareness campaign that includes multiple components and channels that are aimed at maintaining high visiblity and a strong presence for Maine's credit unions. We are off to a strong start for 2015 with lots of great and positive feedback about our new TV spots and other advertising initiatives. We look forward to continuing to build on that momentum in the coming months," explained Debra Trautman, VP of Corporate Marketing for your League.
Your League's TV presence continues through the end of May before taking a break until August, a period that marks the lowest television viewing of the year. While off of TV, your League will have a robust radio campaign that will include value-added sponsorships, billboards, web banners and online streaming to reach a maximum audience. The radio campaign covers 95% of the state over the air and 100% online. In addition, your League has coordinated a strong visual presence over the next few months through the 7th Inning Stretch at every Portland Sea Dogs' home game at Hadlock Field in Portland; Backlit signage at all events at the Cross Center in Bangor; sponsorship of a music stage and on-street booth at the Old Port Festival in June, as part of a partnership with WCYY 94.3 Radio; The Whoopie Pie Festival in Dexter on June 27, a new event; the Maine Potato Blossom Festival July 11-19 in Fort Fairfield; and the sponsorship of the Information Booth at the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland from July 29-August 2.
"Whether Mainers are watching, listening, clicking or enjoying the outdoors, we have an awareness campaign that reaches many of those consumers. We have a strong and diverse mix of media which reaches targeted demographics with different themes but with the overall message of 'Use A Credit Union and Own It'," noted Trautman.
