Richard Lipari, NECU Vice President of Operations.
Northeast Credit Union (NECU) is pleased to announce Richard Lipari as the new Vice President of Operations. Lipari brings previous credit union experience from Nusenda Credit Union in New Mexico as the Vice President of Information Systems. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the General Services, Operations, Security, and Fraud areas for NECU.
“We look forward to the well-rounded perspective Richard has to offer our teams and members here at Northeast Credit Union,” said Mike Gagnon, Senior Vice President Chief Information Officer at NECU. “His industry knowledge, ability to connect with others, and drive to spearhead innovation will undoubtedly have a tremendous impact on the future of Northeast.”
Lipari began his career in 2008 at a small credit union with $50 million in assets and only seven employees, which merged with Nusenda Credit Union in 2013. There, he was promoted from Development Manager to the Vice President of Information Systems. As Vice President, he oversaw core systems, data integrations, eServices including all digital channels, business transformation, and software development.
“I am passionate about innovation and technology, and how the two together can be used to accomplish amazing things that can have a positive impact for employees, members, and the communities they live in,” said Lipari.
Before moving across the country from New Mexico, Lipari and his wife spent their free time hiking and spoiling their two dogs. While living there, Lipari volunteered for Tender Love Center, a women’s shelter and support group, as well as through a Nusenda partnership, the Albuquerque Store House and Roadrunner Food Bank. He and his wife also donate to the United Way.
