To help make the distribution of Ending Hunger funds easier, the League created an Ending Hunger email account and Compliance Guide to better assist credit unions. The Guide is housed on the League’s website and serves as a handy resource.
Keep in mind, when requesting funds for distribution, requests should be sent to endinghunger@mainecul.org using the Fillable Ending Hunger Request Form. All requests should include a W-9, an up-to-date contact person and address for the entity where funds will be directed, and submitted at least 2 weeks before desired distribution date to allow time for processing & mailing.
All requests to distribute funds raised during the previous year campaign must be received by November 30. Any credit union-allotted funds not scheduled to be distributed to a designated organization by November 30 will be pooled with the League-directed funds to be distributed before the end of the fiscal year or shortly thereafter.
The Maine CUs Campaign for Ending Hunger has raised over $8.5 million since 1990. 2018 was a record-breaking fundraising year, and we look forward to seeing what 2019 will deliver for the campaign.
