Despite the fact that it's mid-summer and your League's Management Roundtable is still two months away, registrations for his year's event are coming in at a steady and consistent pace. With nearly 40 registered, so far, interest in attending the Roundtable is strong and growing. The Roundtable takes place on Tuesday, September 22, and Wednesday, September 23, at The Samoset Resort in Rockport.
From beginning to end, the Roundtable has an outstanding program secured. Your League's President John Murphy kicks-off the Roundtable on Tuesday afternoon with his annual Discussion highlighting current issues, trends and topics for leaders. Former NCUA Board Chair Dennis Dollar follows Murphy with a session called, "If they come, will you build it?" Dollar will challenge attendees to think about and discuss issues, such as field of membership, new products and services, the credit union difference and how it is perceived by members, and today's regulatory environment. The Roundtable resumes the following morning, Wednesday, September 23, with Lee Wetherington, Director of Strategic Insight for ProfitStars®, talking about the implications of new technologies, and the opportunities and challenges they present. After Wetherington, a panel of Maine credit union CEOs leads a CEO Panel of Current Topics and Best Practices. Following a lunch break, the Roundtable concludes with one of the most popular and dynamic speakers, Patrick Adams, President/CEO of St. Louis Community CU, and a nationally-recognized marketing innovator, offering his thoughts on how new ideas, channels, and methods can support long-standing CU aims and values.
Credit union management and officials won't want to miss what promises to be a dynamic and thought-provoking Management Roundtable.
