Rainbow FCU's Phil Moreau Honored At Retirement Party

After nearly 44 years, Rainbow FCU's President/CEO Phil Moreau's credit union career is now down to only a few days remaining.  Moreau's last day is Tuesday, June 30th, ending a long and contribution-filled career not only to his credit union but to the Maine Credit Union System.  The credit union held a Retirement Party honoring and recognizing Phil's accomplishments and service last weekend in Freeport.

A number of current and former credit union leaders attended the event including Donna Steckino, former President/CEO of Community CU in Lewiston.  Steckino, who worked closely with Phil in the Norm Nolette Chapter, said, "Phil was such a great leader, mentor and friend to many including myself, and this event provided a nice opportunity to pay tribute to him and to let him know how much his efforts were appreciated."

Your League's President John Murphy, who spoke at the event, remarked, "Phil's contributions to Maine's credit unions, including his long-service on the League and Synergent Boards, have been significant.  He was always ready to help, get involved and lead by example.  On behalf of all Maine credit unions, I would like to say 'thank you' to Phil for the commitment, dedication and friendship he has provided to so many of us over the course of his career.  We congratulate him on his retirement, and wish him the best."

Mark Samson, who assumes the President/CEO role at Rainbow FCU, said, "Phil leaves a lasting legacy that I am proud to continue."
