Please join your League at the Credit Union Service Center in Westbrook for the popular workshop, Understanding Personal Tax Returns on Thursday, May 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Seating is limited for this well-received session, so register early!

Workshop leader, Philip Hatch of Commercial Credit Training Services located in Saco, will take attendees through consumer loan underwriting techniques that will help assess the gross personal cash flow of a member borrower. The focus will be on IRS Form 1040 and it’s supporting tax schedules.

This workshop is designed for all credit union staff involved in the consumer credit application process who would like an introduction or refresher on these concepts. After attending the workshop, you will be able to determine the difference between taxable income and cash income and recognize the importance of collecting copies of a complete tax return.

Additionally, you will learn to identify actual cash inflows and cash outflows reported within IRSA Form 1040 and its’ supporting schedules and much more!
