On July 30, credit unions and leagues from across the country—even around the world—will be participating in a unique social media experience to promote how much members love being part of the credit union movement. The goal of this online media blitz is simple: utilize all social media platforms to raise awareness about credit unions and share stories about the amazing things they do using the common hashtag, #ilovemycreditunion.
We hope your credit union will participate!
In order to make the biggest impact, credit unions must post on the same day and encourage their members to do the same, so please mark your calendar for Friday, July 30, 2021, and get ready to have fun raising credit union awareness with #ilovemycreditunion!
Getting the Word Out
Engaging your members and employees in this effort will be critical in ensuring we maximize exposure for the credit union movement. Every voice matters!
Fortunately, a complete resource hub has been created to help your credit union find everything it needs to plan for and mobilize your members. This includes messaging templates, social media graphics, member engagement, and incentive ideas, even a press release you can customize and distribute to your weekly newspaper!
While this may seem like an effort targeted at your younger members, this initiative is designed to engage people of all ages. After all, 69% of U.S. adults use Facebook. This digital media blitz will not only generate awareness about belonging to a credit union, it also will promote your credit union to a wide audience if you participate.
