Oxford FCU is proud to announce plans to build a new full-service branch in Augusta—an exciting first step in expanding its commitment to accessible, community-focused banking in new markets.

An informal groundbreaking ceremony took place on April 6, signaling the start of construction. The credit union partnered with Woodhull, based in Portland, to design and build the new branch that is scheduled for completion and anticipated to open in January 2027.

Conveniently located at the corner of Civic Center Drive and Townsend Road, the Augusta branch will offer a modern, member-centered banking experience, including personal accounts, consumer and real estate lending, digital banking support, and a drive-up service lane.

“OFCU’s growth in Augusta reflects our ongoing dedication to serving members where they live and work,” said Joann Bisson, President & CEO at Oxford FCU. “We look forward to being an active, engaged community partner and providing service that blends technology with a human touch.”

In 2022, Oxford FCU expanded its field of membership beyond Oxford County to offer service to residents of Androscoggin, Cumberland, Franklin, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Somerset, and York counties. A branch in Farmington is scheduled to open in the fall of 2026. The addition of the Augusta location reinforces the credit union’s mission of guiding its communities in the pursuit of financial security.
