OTIS FCU Donates to Thirteen Local Food Pantries

From left to right: Darice Roy, CCUE, Vice President at OTIS FCU and Ryan Souther, Digital Branch & Facilities Manager at OTIS FCU, show their strong support for the Campaign for Ending Hunger.

Over the course of 2023, OTIS FCU raised nearly $21,000 for Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger. To raise money, the credit union coordinated several fundraising events throughout the year; highlighted local graduates on their road sign for donations; and sold crafts, snacks, movie passes, and more!

The results of the credit union’s hard work were recently distributed back into the community through much-needed financial support to thirteen local food pantries. OTIS FCU Vice President Darice Roy and Digital Branch & Facilities Manager Ryan Souther serve as co-chairs of the credit union’s Ending Hunger Committee and were responsible for distributing checks to these special organizations.

To support the credit union’s 2024 fundraising efforts, which are already well underway, OTIS FCU will be a hosting a Yard Sale for Ending Hunger on Saturday, August 24 from 8:00 am – 12:30 pm at its branch located at 170 Main Street in Jay. This is a great opportunity to support the Campaign while uncovering some unique finds at the sale! Please consider marking your calendars to attend this event next month.
