OTIS FCU will serve as a Pewter Sponsor of the upcoming Town of Canton Bicentennial Celebration. The credit union recently contributed $1,000 to the Canton Bicentennial Committee. This donation will help support two celebrations taking place next year: a Gala Celebration on February 5 which will include a dance party and a sit-down dinner; and a Summer Celebration, happening August 5–August 8. The admission-free summer event will include a founder’s dinner, parade, historical displays, fireworks, street dancing, band performances, and raft races.

“We are honored to serve as a sponsor of Canton’s upcoming Bicentennial Celebration,” said Sarah Hayes, Director of Marketing and Communications at OTIS FCU. “An incredible amount of hard work, time, and care has been devoted to planning these upcoming events. We are thrilled to be able to support these efforts, and look forward to 2021’s commemorations of a very special community.”

The Town of Canton Bicentennial Committee was formed at the request of the Town’s Selectmen. Its members meet twice weekly and they have hosted numerous fundraisers to support the upcoming Bicentennial Celebration. The Committee has a goal of raising $15,000.
