Old Port Festival To Include Significant Maine CU Presence In Front Of Attendees From Across Maine

The Old Port Festival is happening in Portland June 12-14, with a variety of entertainment, activities and huge crowds from across Maine expected.  As part of your League's Statewide Awareness Program, Maine's credit unions will have a very visible presence at this year's Festival.

Although the once, one-day Festival now spans three days, the majority of the events are still happening on Sunday, June 14, throughout the Old Port area.  One of the most visible locations will be the Townsquare Media Stage at One City Center at Monument Square.  A host of national and regional bands are scheduled to perform and draw thousands of spectators for the free music.  Among those performers will be the Young & Free Maine 'Sound-Off' winner and runner-up, Sasquatch and The Banner Year.  Both bands are scheduled to perform just after noontime.  In addition to having the two bands performing on stage, Maine's credit unions will have signage up all day, a booth at street level with free giveaways and materials and a prominent parking spot for the brand new Young & Free Maine car.  The Young & Free Maine Spokester, Mallory Lavoie, will be on hand throughout the day on Sunday.

"We are really excited at this new partnership and sponsorship and the opportunities and exposure it provides to not only the Young & Free program but to Maine's credit unions.  While the festival is all-ages, the 18-25 year-old crowd is one of the highest age groups attending and participating in the Festival so our presence fits perfectly with the goals of the Young & Free Maine program to connect credit unions with young adults.  People from across Maine and beyond attend the Old Port Festival annually," explained your League's VP of Corporate Marketing, Debra Trautman.
