NorState FCU Donation to Benefit Local Food Pantries

Every year, NorState FCU donates the fees it collects from its coin sorter machines in Presque Isle, Fort Kent, and Madawaska to a local charity. To help area food pantries with their ongoing response to the pandemic, NorState FCU is donating its 2021 fees to assist with their efforts. A total of $5,569.97 will be distributed to 13 hunger relief organizations in Aroostook County.

“The generosity of our community continues to amaze me,” said Susan G. Whitehead, CEO at NorState FCU. “We have certainly been through another difficult year and yet our community still comes together to help their neighbors in need. I want to thank everyone for supporting our ending hunger fundraising efforts.”

2022 Coin Sorter Fundraising

NorState FCU has announced that the recipients of its 2022 coin sorter fundraising efforts will be Angel Flight New England and Patient Airlift Services. Both organizations provide free flights for patients living in rural areas or whose financial resources would not otherwise enable them to receive medical treatment or a diagnosis. User fees collected throughout the year will be divided between the two organizations.

You do not need to be a member of NorState FCU to use the coin sorter machines.
