To raise the visibility of Maine Credit Unions’ signature social responsibility initiative, the League has launched a new website for Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger. In addition to containing information about the Campaign, including dollars raised, the website contains a brief overview of the hunger relief programs supported by the state’s credit unions.
“The new website was designed to help credit unions share information about the Campaign with their employees, volunteers, and members,” said Cheryl Lancaster, Executive Vice President of Member Services at the Maine Credit Union League. “We also believe the site will help with fundraising. With a simple click of a button, visitors can donate to the Campaign online and indicate which credit union they belong to. This will allow the Campaign to recognize individual credit unions for online member contributions.”
The website also highlights the Campaign’s program partners, Good Shepherd Food Bank and Full Plates Full Potential. Both organizations closely collaborate with Maine’s credit union network on hunger relief initiatives in communities across the state.
