Your League's President John Murphy and Board Chair Jim Lemieux hosted a special Orientation for the three new League Board Members, Joann Bisson, President/CEO of Trademark FCU, Scott Chretien, President/CEO of York County FCU, and Vicki Stuart, President/CEO of Central Maine FCU, this past week.
"Serving on the League's Board is different from participating in various events and activities so the Orientation is designed to provide information and an overview of both the League and Synergent, and the important role that our Board has in overseeing our advocacy activities and the many products and services we are involved in. It is also an opportunity for our new Board members to meet many of the people in our organization who work closely with the Board," explained your League's President John Murphy.
All three Board members found the Orientation to be "extremely helpful in getting to know some of the people, products and services at the League and Synergent from a much different perspective."
In addition to presentations on the various services and products provided by the League and Synergent, the new Board members also received an overview of the policies, procedures and responsibilities of the Board from both Murphy and Lemieux.
"We are excited to have all three new members of the Board share their knowledge and ideas, and being part of the discussions to guide the League and Synergent forward. The vision and leadership of the Board is an essential part of a strong trade association, and these new Board members are sure to be strong contributors as we move forward," added Murphy.
