New Dimensions FCU recently hosted its 9th Annual Cruisin’ for a Cure Car Show at the Waterville Lafleur Airport to benefit the Maine Children’s Cancer Program (MCCP)—the pediatric oncology and hematology program of The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center. Although the weather wasn’t in their favor, the rain didn’t deter car owners from participating at this special event. Over 70 owners attended and enjoyed a day of fun and fundraising!
To support the credit union’s efforts, CO-OP Financial Services provided them with a $5,000 Miracle Match. CO-OP’s matching program assists credit unions with fundraisers for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, including the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. By combining the funds raised from the 2023 Cruisin’ for A Cure Car Show ($15,966.11) with the Miracle Match, New Dimensions FCU raised $20,966.11 to support the MCCP.
The credit union appreciates and attributes a large part of their success to the many local businesses that sponsored this year’s event. From funding sponsorship categories, to donating signs, posters, pizza, and other prizes, the outpouring of support from the community made a meaningful difference!
