Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger is receiving a fundraising boost thanks to New Dimensions FCU and the Elan Charitable Giving Program. The credit union was selected to receive a $15,000 grant from Elan to support a charity of their choice. The donation is being directed to the Campaign.
“The Campaign is grateful to both New Dimensions FCU and Elan for this incredible donation,” said Jen Burke, AVP – Communications & Outreach at the Maine Credit Union League. “I can’t think of a better way to jump start fundraising for the year than through a meaningful donation like this one.”
Elan selected 25 credit union partners to designate a charity in their community to receive a $15,000 donation on the credit union’s behalf as part of the 2023 Elan Charitable Giving Program. The program has donated over $1 million since it began in 2022.
“Over the last year we’ve heard and seen firsthand how our charitable giving program is making an impact,” said John Owens, Elan Credit Card General Manager. “These nonprofits are doing incredible work for community members and it’s an honor for us to be able to support them.”
New Dimensions FCU is the only credit union in Maine to be chosen as a 2023 beneficiary. In 2022, Maine Solutions FCU received a $12,500 grant from Elan. This contribution also was directed to the Campaign for Ending Hunger.
