Mortgage Risk Study Seeks Input From Lenders

The Wharton Risk Management and Decision Processes Center at the University of Pennsylvania is undertaking a study to better understand the impact of natural disaster risks on the U.S. residential housing market.

As part of the study, the Center is interested in surveying mortgage loan officers at lending institutions to gauge how they perceive flood and disaster risk relating to individual loans, portfolios, and institutions. If you are interested in providing input, the Center has created an online questionnaire to solicit feedback. Survey respondents can remain anonymous and participation should take less than 15 minutes.

Questions about this study or the online lender questionnaire can be directed to Dr. Carolyn Kousky at ckousky@wharton.upenn.edu. The study is funded by the Department of Homeland Security’s Flood Apex program.
