Midcoast FCU Celebrates Its Outstanding Team During All-Employee Appreciation Night

Midcoast FCU held its annual All-Employee Appreciation Night on October 5 at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester. Team members enjoyed an evening of collaboration with awards, dancing, and fun!

Honoring Midcoast FCU’s 2024 Wave Award winners was a focal point of the event. Eight employees—all nominated by their peers—were recognized in four distinct award categories for their special contributions to the credit union. Midcoast FCU also presented an award to one of its outstanding volunteers.

A summary of both the award winners and categories are listed below. The League joins Midcoast FCU in congratulating these honorees.

Rising Star Award:

Each year, the credit union recognizes a new employee(s) who shows extraordinary promise. To receive this honor, the employee must demonstrate passion, diligence, and a capacity to grow both personally and professionally to best serve members and the Midcoast FCU Team.

Richard, a Consumer Loan Processor, and Nelai, a Member Service Representative II, are the recipients of the 2024 Rising Star Award.

Service Excellence Award:

Since 2014, Midcoast FCU has annually recognized at least one employee who has displayed consistent and exceptional service to both members and the Midcoast FCU team.

April, an Account Specialist I, and Chandra, the credit union’s Human Resources Manager, are the recipients of the 2024 Service Excellence Award.

Diane L. Oceretko Core Values Award:

The credit union annually recognizes employees who embrace and embody its core values of honesty, integrity, concern for community, and a commitment to education in all aspects of their professional and personal lives.

Isabelle, an Accounting Specialist I, and Mary, Midcoast FCU’s Marketing Manager, were awarded the prestigious 2024 Diane L. Oceretko Core Values Award.

Unsung Hero Award:

This category debuted in 2020 to recognize those employees whose role may not put them front and center each day, but whose guidance and support from behind the scenes plays a valuable role in the credit union’s success. Congratulations to Shannon and Jonathan on both receiving the 2024 Unsung Hero Award.

Bernard A. Wyman, Jr. Volunteer of the Year Award:

Since 2014, Midcoast FCU has annually recognized the outstanding efforts of one of its volunteers with the Bernard A. Wyman, Jr. Volunteer Award. The award is presented to a deserving individual for their exceptional dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to the credit union.

Rebecca Shields was recognized as the 2024 Bernard A. Wyman Jr. Volunteer of the Year. She is a dedicated member of Midcoast FCU’s Supervisory Committee.
