About hoMEworks
hoMEworks began in 1998 when a group of homeownership professionals from private, non-profit, and government organizations joined together in support of consumer education for homebuyers. Its mission is to develop standardized, comprehensive, homeownership education programs that can be delivered by a network of industry professionals in neutral environments throughout Maine. The hoMEworks board consists of the Maine Credit Union League and nonprofit and private sector organizations including the Maine Association of Mortgage Professionals, Maine Association of Realtors, Maine Bankers Association, Maine Community Action Association, and Maine Housing, as well as other housing industry professionals.
