Credit unions and Patriots fans alike showed their strong support for the Campaign for Ending Hunger this summer. Almost half of the state’s credit unions participated in the Patriots sweepstakes fundraiser and nearly $4,000 was raised. Maine State CU sold the winning sweepstakes ticket and a lucky member—one of their own employees—will enjoy a trip to Foxboro next month.
“I’d like to extend my thanks to the credit unions who sold and advertised sweepstakes tickets to benefit the Campaign,” shared Jen Burke, League AVP of Communications & Outreach. “Patriots Nation is full of enthusiasm and it shows with our results. So many peopled were interested in taking a chance to see their favorite sports team, while also supporting an effort that will help feed their neighbors in need. This was certainly a successful fundraiser during a busy time of year for many.”
