Maine Solutions FCU’s Ending Hunger fundraising efforts just received a significant boost! The credit union will be receiving a $12,500 contribution—money that will be directed to Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger.
“Our entire team was thrilled when we received the news that we were selected to receive a charitable grant from Elan™ Financial Services,” said Diana Garcia, CEO at Maine Solutions FCU. “They are committed to helping their partners give back to their community, and this donation will allow our credit union to do just that. The Ending Hunger Campaign is an effort we work hard to support, and now we can do even more to combat hunger in our area thanks to their generous help.”
As part of the company’s Charitable Giving Program, Maine Solutions FCU is one of 50 credit unions who will be receiving a $12,500 grant from Elan to benefit a charity of their choosing.
“Selecting the Campaign for Ending Hunger as our charity was an easy decision for us,” added Garcia. “Too many Mainers struggle to put meals on their tables, and the pandemic has made the situation even worse. I know our hunger-relief partners will benefit from the added support we’ll soon be able to give them, and so will the individuals and families that visit our local food pantries.”
