The League is pleased to announce that Linda Dulac, longtime Board Chair at Maine Highlands FCU, has been presented with the 2020 Alexander Ferguson Award for outstanding credit union volunteer.

Since 1974, Linda has been a key volunteer for the credit union. She has seen Maine Highlands FCU, formerly known as Dexter Shoe Credit Union and Dexter Regional Federal Credit Union, grow from approximately $850,000 in assets to more than $132 million.

Over the years, Linda has served in many important roles at the credit union. She has participated on the credit union’s Credit Committee and Supervisory Committee and served as Board Director, Board Secretary, and Board Vice Chair. Currently, she is the credit union’s Board Chair.

Linda has been instrumental in guiding the credit union through many technology enhancements. She even helped the credit union transition from using handwritten member ledgers to computer terminals. Linda has supported the introduction of three different operating systems and ushered in the year 2000 with credit union management.

Outside of the credit union, Linda volunteers at Our Lady’s Kitchen, serving free hot meals to community members in need of food and/or social engagement. She also lends a hand with many other community organizations including the Knights of Columbus, the Dexter Historical Society, and other church functions.

The League joins Maine Highlands FCU in celebrating Linda and congratulating her on this deserving recognition.
