Maine Highlands FCU recently donated funds to Brownville Fire Rescue for the purchase of two thermal imaging cameras. These vital tools help firefighters locate victims in fires or smoke-filled environments, identify hidden pockets of fire, assess structural stability, and assist in search efforts during wilderness rescue situations.
Brownville Fire Rescue serves the communities of Brownville, Lakeview Plantation, Ebeemee, Orneville, Williamsburg Township, Barnard Township, Katahdin Iron Works, T4R9, and several other unincorporated territories throughout Piscataquis County. In addition, the department provides mutual aid and support to neighboring communities across Piscataquis County and parts of Penobscot County.
