Maine Family FCU Announces 2024 Scholarship Recipients


Maine Family FCU is proud to announce the recipients of its annual scholarship program, recognizing outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement. After carefully considering a large field of qualified candidates, the credit union awarded three scholarships to local students who have demonstrated exceptional promise and dedication to their academic pursuits.

The scholarship recipients for 2024 in their respective categories include:

Emily Reed, Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School (Class of 2024) | The Founders Scholarship

Emily Reed

With a remarkable academic record and a passion for community service, Emily has consistently demonstrated determination and diligence both inside and outside the classroom. Her ability to excel in the face of adversity and her drive to make a positive impact through service to her community made her a standout candidate for The Founders Scholarship. Emily plans to pursue an education in child development and law at American University in Washington, DC, and aims to use her education to become a guardian ad litem to advocate for children in child protective services custody and advocate for children with disabilities to obtain the services they need.

Amanda Raymond, Edward Little High School, (Class of 2023; Elms College, Class of 2027) | The Maurice Fontaine, Sr. Scholarship

Amanda Raymond

A dynamic and driven individual, Amanda has shown exceptional talent and dedication in her academic pursuits. Her volunteer experience highlights her passion for helping others. Amanda is pursuing an education in speech-language pathology at College of Our Lady of the Elms in Chicopee, MA, where her goal is to become a speech-language pathologist and travel the country to provide much-needed therapies to underserved areas.

Mallory Langlois, Monmouth Academy (Class of 2024) | The Roger Bissonnette Scholarship

Mallory Langlois

Known for her exceptional character and strong leadership skills, Mallory has consistently demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence and community engagement. Through her involvement in Future Business Leaders of America, she has shown a dedication to making a difference in the lives of others. Mallory plans to study diagnostic medical sonography at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT, where she aims to further develop her skills and achieve her goal of working in a children’s hospital.

Each of these deserving recipients has showcased not only academic excellence but also a genuine desire to use their education to create a better future for themselves and their communities.
