Maine Earns National Recognition for PAC Support

League President Elise Baldacci and PAC Trustee Jason Lindstrom accept the ACU PAC Chairman’s Award at GAC.

America’s Credit Unions (ACU) PAC announced its national and state credit union award winners last week, recognizing leaders in PAC participation and fundraising. Maine was well-represented on the list.

Evergreen CU earned a second runner-up Pinnacle Award. The award recognizes credit unions in each asset category that raise the most for the America’s Credit Unions PAC. Evergreen raised $15,010 in 2025.

The Maine Credit Union League also received a second runner-up Vanguard Award, which honors the state that raises the highest percentage of its annual PAC fundraising goal. Maine reached an impressive 224% of its 2025 goal.

Additionally, Maine was awarded ACU’s PAC Chairman Award. This honor, given “at the discretion of the PAC Chair to a state for outstanding achievement in PAC fundraising, ” was accepted by League President Elise Baldacci and PAC Trustee Jason Lindstrom during the Governmental Affairs Conference.

Maine may be a small state, but our credit unions continue to make a big impact in national advocacy efforts. Support for the PAC at any level strengthens our industry’s ability to advocate for credit unions on Capitol Hill.
