Throughout Maine, the sounds of summer are including a plenty of chatter about Maine's credit unions. That's because Spokester Jake Holmes is busy on the airwaves on radio stations across the state. In recent weeks, Holmes has appeared on Z-107.3 in Bangor, Channel X in Aroostook County, Townsquare Media in Aroostook County, and WCYY, to talk about Maine credit unions and summer finances.
"Summer is a particularly high listening time for radio, so we are utilizing opportunities to talk about Maine credit unions on radio shows in particular right now. Jake is doing a nice job of talking not only about the millennial focus of Young & Free, but also raising awareness about the value and benefits of using a credit union. He is also able to highlight credit union convenience for people on the go this summer by mentioning shared branching and Surf," stated Jon Paradise, Vice President of Governmental and Public Affairs for the Maine CU League.
In the coming weeks, Holmes will also be doing interviews on Hot 104.7 in southern Maine, and participating in a live broadcast from Old Orchard Beach on Q-97.9. Follow all of Jake's appearances and happenings at youngfreemaine.com, or at mainecreditunions.org.
