Lisbon Community FCU Distributes $23,284.76 for the Campaign For Ending Hunger

The LACO Board of Directors accepts a donation check from Lisbon Community FCU.

Thanks to the generosity of its members, Lisbon Community FCU raised $23,284.76 last year for Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger. The funds were recently distributed to two local organizations supporting individuals and families facing food insecurity: Lisbon Area Christian Outreach (LACO) in Lisbon Falls received $17,463.57, while Gather To Grow Food Pantry in Lewiston received $5,821.19.

Throughout the year, the credit union hosted several successful fundraisers to support the campaign, including a fall cash calendar and a summer basket raffle.

Ending hunger remains a cause that Lisbon Community FCU cares deeply about, and the credit union is proud to support local organizations working to help individuals and families facing food insecurity throughout the community.
