Lisbon Community FCU Announces Winners of Four $2,500 Scholarships to Local High School Seniors

Lisbon Community FCU is delighted to announce the recipients of its annual Rochel “Russ” Livernois Memorial Scholarship program, awarding four $2,500 scholarships to outstanding local high school seniors. This year’s winners have demonstrated exceptional academic achievements, community involvement, and a strong commitment to pursuing higher education.

“We are incredibly proud of these remarkable students,” said Sarah Perkins, CEO of Lisbon Community FCU. “Their dedication and passion for making a positive impact in their communities are truly inspiring. We are honored to support them as they take the next steps in their educational journeys.”

The 2025 Rochel “Russ” Livernois Memorial Scholarship Recipients Are:

  1. Adeline Burkhardt – Lisbon High School
    • Plans to attend: University of Southern Maine
  2. Ava Rivet – Oak Hill High School
    • Plans to attend: University of Southern Maine
  3. Deborah Lubamba – Lisbon High School
    • Plans to attend: University of Southern Maine
  4. Hannah Card – Lisbon High School
    • Plans to attend: Bowdoin College

Each of these students submitted impressive applications, including thoughtful essays on how their education will help them make a positive impact in their communities. The selection committee was impressed by their stories and aspirations.

Lisbon Community FCU developed the Rochel ‘Russ’ Livernois Scholarship Fund in 2000 to help local graduating seniors realize their dreams. Mr. Livernois served as Treasurer/Manager for the credit union from 1959 through 1985. The scholarship fund honors his years of service and dedication.
