Lincoln Maine FCU is proudly celebrating the special achievements of one of its employees. Brittany Libbey, Director of Business and Community Development, recently received two notable credit union accreditations. She became a National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) Certified Compliance Officer and earned her Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) designation from the National Credit Union Foundation.
“We are so proud of Brittany’s efforts to further enhance her knowledge and abilities to benefit our credit union, as well as the community and members we support, said Ryan Reed, Executive Vice President at Lincoln Maine FCU. “She is a very driven and self-directed young lady, who truly embodies the credit union spirit and initiatives.”
Earning the prestigious designation of NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer means she’s proven that she has a comprehensive understanding of the major regulations that govern credit union operations. Obtaining a CUDE designation signifies a competency in understanding and applying Development Education (DE) within financial services. The mission of the the DE Program is to help established and emerging leaders within the credit union movement understand and leverage the credit union business model in new and better ways to serve members and communities.
Brittany has worked at Lincoln Maine FCU for over four years. In March, she was featured on the cover of CU Marketing Hero Magazine, a publication of CUcontent. Brittany lives in Lincoln and spends her free time volunteering for several organizations including the Town of Lincoln Events & Tourism Committee and the Reed Foundation for Hope & Healing.
The League joins Lincoln Maine FCU in congratulating Brittany on this noteworthy achievement!
