We might be half way through April, but your credit union still has a chance to participate in the National Youth Saving Challenge! Don't wait another minute to join in on this challenge hosted by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) in conjunction with your League, as part of Youth Month taking place the entire month of April.
Every time a young member or a family member makes a deposit into a youth account, CUNA will report the results at the end of the month to see which credit unions earned the most youth deposits. Additionally, CUNA will award $100 cash prizes to youth members at 25 credit unions participating in the Saving Challenge.
Last year, 94,466 young members deposited more than $20.5 million into their savings accounts during this national event—with 8,844 of those being new accounts!
The Challenge is 100% FREE, and open to all Maine credit unions.
