It’s almost time to start bidding! The Campaign for Ending Hunger’s annual online auction will be taking place once again this year, coinciding with the League’s Elevate: Annual Meeting & Convention. Between May 1 and May 16, a wide range of wonderful items and opportunities will be available online for bidding in support of our signature initiative—but we need your help!
This auction raises significant funds every year to feed hungry Mainers, thanks to generous donations from credit unions, volunteers, and businesses across the state. Last year, the auction reached a record-breaking total of just over $9,000. With your help, we can try to set a new record this year—the Campaign’s 35th year—to provide even more meals to Maine’s food insecure population.
How You Can Help
If you are able, please consider donating an item to this effort. Past items have included gift baskets, sports tickets, gift cards, accessories, home goods, and more—the options are limitless! Every item donated helps us collectively give back more to our communities.
If you plan to provide a donation, please complete the convenient form on the League’s website and mail your donation to the League by Friday, April 18. Completing the form is important for our recordkeeping, and it helps the League prepare the auction website. Auction items should be mailed to:

If you are unable to send your item(s) by this deadline, or if you would prefer to bring it with you to Elevate, you can email a photograph of the item instead to Lauren Simonds at lsimonds@mainecul.org. The auction will go live on May 1, and items will be on display at Elevate on Friday, May 16. Please also feel free to share this with any of your credit union’s volunteers or local business/community partners who may be able to donate an item.
